Financial Literacy Speech Competition Finals

The 2025 Financial Literacy Speech Competition Finals, hosted by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), brought together top-performing learners from schools across South Africa to showcase their understanding of financial literacy through public speaking. The competition equips young people with essential financial knowledge, including budgeting, saving, responsible spending, and informed financial decision-making, while developing their confidence and communication skills.

Bayside Projects and Trading was appointed to provide comprehensive event management and logistical support for the finals held in Cape Town. Our responsibilities included coordinating the participation of schools across the region, ensuring all learners and educators arrived safely and on time, and managing the movement of delegates throughout the event.

Bayside also designed and built the event stage, coordinated the venue setup, and supplied a complete audiovisual (AV) solution, including professional sound, lighting, staging, and technical support to ensure a seamless event experience. In addition, we provided professional photography and videography services to capture the highlights of the competition, arranged qualified first aid personnel to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all attendees, and managed the overall event logistics from setup to completion.

Through meticulous planning, technical expertise, and professional execution, Bayside delivered a high-quality national event that reflected excellence in event management while supporting the FSCA's mission of promoting financial literacy and empowering South Africa's youth.
